Prior Lake, Minnesota - On Saturday, November 11, 2006, Dakotah! Sport and Fitness will sponsor their annual Turkey Trot 5K and Kids' Fun Run. The 3.1 mile event will start at Dakotah!, and wind through The Meadows at Mystic Lake, the Shakopee Mdewakanton Sioux Community golf course. Hosting the 5K on the golf course provides beautiful scenery and a challenging race venue.

Registration is $20 on or before November 6th and can be done online at www.dakotahsport.com or at www.active.com or by picking up a brochure at Dakotah!. After November 6, 2006, the registration fee increases to $24.

Race day registration begins at 8:00 a.m., and the 5K starts at 9:00 a.m. To encourage youth to take up the sport there will also be a free Little Gobblers 1/4-mile Fun Run for kids at 9:45 a.m. The awards ceremony for the adults will follow at 10:00 a.m.

All registered runners will receive t-shirts. Each Kids' Fun Run participant will receive a finisher's certificate. 5K awards will be given to first, second, and third place overall male and female finishers.
