Prior Lake, Minnesota - The convenience store at 14160 Wilds Path NW in Prior Lake, Minnesota, formerly Kwik Trip, will reopen under the ownership of the Shakopee Mdewakanton Sioux Community on October 8, 2007. Renamed the Shakopee Dakota Convenience Store, it will feature the same great service and pricing as the original SDCS which opened in 1994. Both stores are owned and operated by the Shakopee Mdewakanton Sioux Community.

"The Shakopee Mdewakanton Sioux Community is proud to have a second convenience store for our Community and our guests," said SMSC Chairman Stanley R. Crooks.

Monthly specials, the lowest price on gasoline around, and fun, family-friendly events will characterize the new store. A wide array of inventory means that customers can find everything they might need from motor oil to milk and ice cream to prepared hot dogs and soups. Baking and cooking staples, baked goods, soda, and chips are also among the many grocery items available. The Minnesota State Lottery will also be available.

The new store also features 13 fuel dispensers including diesel and E-85, and a car wash. And the Shakopee Dakota Convenience Stores offer the best gas prices around. Eighty-seven octane unleaded and 89 octane midgrade gasoline are always the same low price. The exclusive Show-N-Go Keychain, introduced in 1997, will help customers at both stores save even more. The key chain discounts each gallon of gasoline 3¢ every day and 5¢ on Wednesdays.

Each month the Shakopee Dakota Convenience Store has a slate of special items on sale. Products like milk, chips, pizza, ice cream, pop, milk, and much more. Monthly car wash specials will round out a great list of money saving promotions.

The newest SDCS will be open for business from 5:00 a.m. to midnight, seven days a week. The original SDCS, across from Mystic Lake Casino Hotel, is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Both stores will be open holidays.
