Prior Lake, Minnesota - The Shakopee Mdewakanton Sioux Community announces three classes in 2008 for Emergency Medical Services. Each class is offered by the Mdewakanton Emergency Services department. Due to construction on Fire Station #10 which houses Mdewakanton Emergency Services, classes will be held at Dakotah! Sport and Fitness at 2100 Trail of Dreams, Prior Lake, MN, 55372.

Mdewakanton Emergency Services also provides customized training for police and fire departments, for example EMT, First Responder, Firefighter 1, Firefighter 2, and CPR training for lay persons and health professionals. Other Continuing Education Classes are also available. A First Responder Initial Course will run February 18 - March 12, from 6:00 - 10:00 p.m. The cost for the class is $300 which includes the textbook. This class is open to individuals ages 17 and older.

An EMT Initial Course will be offered January 8 - April 19, on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m. The cost for this class is $675, which includes the textbook. This class is open to individuals ages 18 and older.
